Just popped over to say ta for PDF'ing jennylynneh's BB fic and read your post above - hee! I've created some of these myself this year (if a fic looks good sometimes I get impatient waiting to see if someone else will crack and do one for me). I don't know if Mac's are different but when I create my documents I change the font to candara (no real reason other than I like it) and then just save the word document as PDF and it seems to retain the fonts and any artworks ok. It also seems to work well on my kindle.
Thanks for the fic rec - I just finished reading sandymg's JRobot (her BB) which was gorgeous, moving and yet happy-making - so I'm interested in this one and I had already made a PDF of it to read later!
